On 16 Oct 2024, DIOP hosted a panel session on "Psychometrics Unplugged," during which key messages reflected from the ITC Conference were highlighted by Dr. Clara To, including:

• A growing call for culturally sensitive and personalized assessment approaches to improve accuracy, validity, and user engagement.
• The application and integration of new technologies, which have introduced new challenges to best practices in psychometrics, particularly regarding fairness, transparency, and interpretability.

Learn more about the best practices of testing by reading the published ITC guidelines. Seven projects have produced guidelines that have gained wide international acceptance, including one on Technology-Based Assessment: https://www.intestcom.org/page/28
