Professional Training in Hong Kong

The graduate members in Hong Kong Psychological society must undergo professional training in accredited programs in psychology. Accredited bachelor program in HPKS must cover 5 out of the 6 following fundamental areas: Biological/Physiological Psychology, Developmental/Child Psychology, Cognitive Psychology/Perception/Learning/Memory, Personality/Individual Differences, Social Psychology, and History of Psychology/Contemporary Issues in Psychology. Local universities also provide professional training for different kinds of psychologist. HKPS provided registration for four types of specialized psychologist, namely; Clinical Psychologist, Counseling Psychologist, Industrial and Organizational Psychologist, and Educational Psychologist.
