The ADOS-2 Introductory/Clinical Training is a 3-day, in-person workshop designed for professionals (psychologists, clinicians, educators) to learn the administration and scoring of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, 2nd Edition (ADOS-2). It covers Modules 1-4 and the Toddler Module, providing a foundational understanding of the tool for clinical use.

 

Key Aspects of the Training:

  • Target Audience: Clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, pediatricians, speech-language pathologists, and school-based specialists.
  • Format: Lectures, video demonstrations, and guided scoring, often with 2-3 days of interactive instruction.
  • Modules Covered: Covers Modules 1-4, designed for different developmental levels and ages.
  • Prerequisites: Prior experience with autism assessment is typically required.
  • Materials: Access to an ADOS-2 manual is recommended for training.
  • Outcome: Learning to use ADOS-2 clinically and a prerequisite for more advanced training to achieve research reliability
