Name(s) of speaker(s)

Dr. Ting Liu

 Brief content:

This workshop addresses the intricate and challenging aspects of Extra marital Affair (EMA). EMA is one of the most prevalent issues faced by couples seeking assistance, often serving as a significant source of emotional distress. Statistics from Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taiwan indicate that 50% of divorces are attributed to EMA. The aftermath of EMA presents complex emotional dynamics for both the unfaithful partner and the betrayed partner, often resulting in profound harm to individuals and the relationship itself. This makes the processes of separation or healing particularly arduous, with some couples remaining trapped in ongoing pain,
while others endure deep, unresolved wounds.

In the two-day workshop," Dr. Liu will provide insights to helping professionals on how to mitigate the pain experienced by both partners through the framework of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT) for couples. Participants will gain valuable skills to navigate the crisis of EMA, whether pursuing reconciliation or separation, and will learn to achieve clarity amidst the emotional turmoil.
