EdUHK-HKPS Talk Series (1): How Children Handle the Complexities of What They Read

Dear Friends and Members of the Hong Kong Psychological Society,
We are pleased to announce that the Hong Kong Psychological Society (HKPS) will co-organize with the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) Department of Psychology a series of webinars on various interesting psychology topics in the coming year.
In this new webinar series, "Contributions of Psychological Research and Practice to Societies", EdUHK and HKPS are collaborating to bring both practitioners and academic experts around the world to members of HKPS, staff and students of EdUHK, as well as the public.
For the first webinar, we are delighted to introduce international scholar Professor Hélène Deacon of Dalhousie University Department of Psychology and Neuroscience. Professor Deacon will give a talk on her renowned research on how children learn to read and overcome common struggles, with implications for instructional strategies.

The webinar has been approved as CE Activity by the Continuing Education Committee of HKPS. Number of CE points will be counted according to the CE guideline of respective Divisions. If you wish to earn CE points through the webinars, please follow these steps:
- Register the webinar with the same name as you have registered with HKPS
- Display that name when you log into Zoom for the webinar; do not show any other name
- During the webinar, HKPS will verify your attendance with your registered name
