Brief content:

Aims

The overarching aims of the symposium are to (1) provide a multidisciplinary platform for discussion and debate among students, academics, and practitioners on well-being in special educational needs; (2) raise awareness of the importance of improving well-being for students with special educational needs; and (3) widen university students’ (from Hong Kong and Mainland China) exposure to international perspectives. We are committed to diversity and sharing the benefits of internationalisation.

 

Objectives

  • To facilitate opportunities for networking, collaboration, and exchange of ideas across various disciplines, stakeholders, and institutions.
  • To share new initiatives and strategies for improving well-being for students  with special educational needs.
  • To debate and identify gaps for conducting research into optimizing well-being for students with special educational needs.
  • To provide a platform for university students to present their work with poster presentations.

 

The 1-day symposium will consist of opening remarks, followed by a series of talks and closing remarks. Access to the virtual poster exhibition is only for registered participants and only via the virtual platform which will be available on the event day, from 9am to 5pm.
